Making the best of Avery's yogurt strike

Avery is usually up for yogurt at almost every meal, her favorite being Dora yogurt. She has no idea who Dora is, but she seems to like the texture. Since it was not on sale (and I didn't have a coupon for it) last week, we bought a marked-down Yo Baby yogurt instead. It sounded very promising and parent-approved, organic & made with whole milk, but when we opened the first container, the texture looked disgusting. We gave it to Avery anyway, but she took one lick and made a horrible face. Not one to waste much, I decided to make yogurt pops, combining the rejected yogurt and bananas. I simply put them in a little food processor, took them for a short spin, froze them in Popsicle molds, and voila: Avery's yogurt strike was over! You can tell she didn't enjoy them at all.

Brilliant! I bought that yo-baby yogurt once (or do they have a yo-mama one? I don't recall) and the texture was pretty gross. I powered through, I think - but I'm a little older ;)

Wow Nicole, that's impressive! I used to give Jesse that yo-baby yogurt, too, and he liked it until he tasted the Dora yogurt a few weeks ago. Now he's done with yo-baby. I always thought it looked gross- I don't blame Avery! :)

Elaina LOVES YoBaby, but the top of the yogurt is the cream only and it has to be mixed well into the rest of the yogurt... not sure if that would hep you guys or not. I usually dump it into a sippy cup and add about a tablespoon of milk - just enough to thin it a bit - for a "yogurt shake." She drinks at least one if not two of these a day (in lieu of milk, pretty much)...

And I can't believe what you were able to buy for under $8.00 - amazing!
